Privacy & Cookies Policy
This is the Privacy & Cookies Policy (the “PCP”) of Cascade Interactive Limited, a company incorporated under English law (company number: 15604918) whose registered office is at 27 New Dover Road, Canterbury, United Kingdom, CT1 3DN (hereafter “Cascade”). This PCP describes the ways in which Cascade collects and uses information about you when you play our game Mavrix (the “Game”) or use any website in connection with the Game, including at www.cascade.gg (the “Website”).
Cascade may change this PCP at any time and when this happens we will notify you of any changes to this PCP by noting this on the Website. The changes will apply to your use of the Website and the Game after we have notified you. If you do not wish to accept the new PCP you should stop using the Website and playing the Game. If you continue to use the Website and play the Game after the changes, your continued use of the Website and your continued playing of the Game shows us your agreement to be bound by the new PCP.
This PCP was last changed in May 2025.
1. What Personal Data is and Who this PCP applies to: Personal Data means information that identifies, relates to, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular person or household, including identifiers such as a real name, alias, a device identification number, location data, an online identifier, commercial information (including products or services purchased), or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person, or as further defined under the General Data Protection Regulation (‘GDPR’). We indicate in this PCP the information we collect from you.
2. Visitors to the Website: The Game’s Website collects information from you using only strictly necessary cookies, which are solely used to provide you with the services you request by accessing the Website . Cascade relies on the strictly necessary exemption to collect this information.
3. People who play the Game: Cascade will collect the following information from you when you play a Game:
3a. information relating to tracking/analytics behaviour as you access and play the Game in question, some of which is collected in co-operation with various third party partners as described in paragraph 6 below. This includes information such as unique device ID, the length of time you spend playing our Game and other game metric/statistical information. Whilst the majority of this information is not personal data, Cascade may combine it with e.g., the information in paragraph 3(b) and hence it will become personal data as a result; and
3b. if you follow Cascade via your applicable platform provider’s account or have linked your platform provider’s account to the Game then Cascade may collect and combine information you allowed us to receive from the platform provider, which may include without limitation your email address and age. You currently must link your platform provider’s account to the Game in order to access and play the Game, however your platform provider will not automatically pass to Cascade personal data that you provide to them. Please refer to your platform provider’s privacy policy for further information on how they may share your personal data with third parties (including Cascade).
4. Grounds for processing: Cascade relies on the consent processing ground to collect the information in 3(b) above, and the legitimate interests processing ground to collect the information set out in paragraph 3(a) above. If you do consent to providing to Cascade the information set out in 3(b), Cascade will solely use this information for the purposes of providing access to, and allowing you to play, the Game. Where Cascade relies on legitimate interests, it is in Cascade’s legitimate interests to do so as such data is minimal in nature, is required in order for Cascade to analyse and improve its Game and the collection of such information does not outweigh an individual’s rights and freedoms in doing so.
5. How the information about you is used: The information about you described in paragraph 3 may be used by Cascade as follows:
5a. to enable Cascade to undertake administration tasks in relation to the management of the Website and Game and to provide its services to you, namely to permit you to access and play the Game;
5b. to tweak, tune and facilitate the improvement of the Website and Game;
5c. to provide technical support in relation to your use of the Website and Game and troubleshooting;
5d. to prevent fraud or illegal activities;
5e. to use such information in anonymised form for its own research and marketing purposes; and
5f. to share with third parties as described in paragraph 6 below.
6. Sharing information with third parties: Cascade shall not pass your information to third parties other than as described in this paragraph. Cascade may, subject to its obligations to comply with applicable data protection legislation, share your information with third parties including:
6a. its storage provider ([PlayFab);
6b. its hosting provider (PlayFab);
6c. having taken precautions to maintain the security of such information, Cascade may share this information with its regulator;
6d. in anonymised form, Cascade may share the information with:
i. any third party, in relation to the sale of some or all of Cascade’s business, or its assets, or as part of any business restructuring or reorganisation. Cascade will take steps with the aim of ensuring that your rights continue to be protected if your personal data is transferred in accordance with this paragraph;
or
ii. law enforcement agencies in compliance with law enforcement.
7. Links to third party websites and third party adverts: Cascade is not responsible for the privacy policies and practices of other sites even if you access them using links from the Website or Game. You should check the policy of each site you visit and contact its owner or operator if you have any concerns or questions. In addition, if you link to the Website or Game from a third party site or via a social network, Cascade is not responsible for the privacy policies and practices of the owners or operators of these third party sites and recommends that you check the policy of these third party sites and contact their owner or operator if you have any concerns or questions.
8. Security, Storage and Data Retention: Cascade has implemented technology and policies to safeguard your privacy from unauthorised access and improper use. Cascade’s physical servers are operated by third party cloud service providers and are located in the UK. Cascade ensures that it does not retain such data for longer than is reasonable in line with the purposes for which it was originally collected: your data will be retained up to 12 months after your account becomes inactive.

10. Exercising your rights: You can contact us using the details set out in paragraph 9 above if you wish to: (i) access a copy of the personal data that we hold about you including what categories of personal data we have collected or sold about you; the categories of sources from which the personal data is collected by us; the business or commercial purpose for collecting or disclosing the personal data; the categories of third parties with whom we share your personal data; and the specific pieces of personal data that we have collected about you); (ii) correct any items of personal data that we hold about you; and/or (iii) have any items of personal data that we hold about you erased or object to our processing of such items of personal data.
11. Cookies
11a. What are Cookies? Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a Website. Cascade’s use of cookies is detailed at paragraph 2 above. Session cookies enable you to move from page to page within websites and any information you enter will be remembered but is deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies allow us to remember your preferences and settings when you browse any Website in the future, in different browser sessions.
